The Fresh Market on the basement first floor of Auga, a complex facility in front of Aomori Station, brings together shops handling fresh Aomori seafood and local ingredients. Scallops, squid, flounder, and other seafood from Mutsu Bay and the Tsugaru Channel are on display, allowing you to shop and dine while experiencing the market's vibrant atmosphere. On the fireworks festival day, dining establishments and shops around the venue become quite crowded; therefore, dining at the market during this time is a wise choice. It's just a short walk from Aomori Station and conveniently accessible by bus from Sannai Maruyama Ruins.

Tips

Approximately 1 minute on foot from JR Aomori Station. On the fireworks festival day, the station area begins getting crowded from late afternoon, so it's recommended to finish eating around 5:30 p.m. and begin heading toward the venue. In addition to seafood, the market carries Aomori-style prepared dishes and fresh bread, making it convenient to purchase light snacks here for consumption during the viewing.
