The large Japanese zelkova trees lined up in orderly rows on both sides create a lush green tunnel in summer, providing refreshing shade. This street becomes the pedestrian zone and main event venue for tonight's fireworks, transforming into a festive stage lined with food stalls and vendors. Walking along the street during the day gives you a sense of the nighttime venue layout, making it easier to picture viewing spots and stall locations. The combination of art installations scattered throughout and the tree-lined avenue creates a unique landscape distinctive to Towada.

Tips
開演前に観覧席や歩行者天国地内で場所を確保しておくとゆっくり観覧できます。荒天時の開催可否は十和田市の公式発表で確認してください。終了後は会場周辺の道路や駐車場が大変混雑するため、時間に余裕を持って帰路につくか、混雑が落ち着いてから移動するのがおすすめです。足元が暗い場所もあるため、小さなライトがあると安心です。

You can stroll directly along the street from the Towada City Museum of Contemporary Art. From late evening onward, pedestrian zone regulations close some roads, so identify parking locations during the day. Benches line the street, allowing you to rest and cool off in the shade while walking.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes required. In summer afternoons, the zelkova leaves are lush, providing cool shade for walking.
