With approximately 10,000 fireworks launched over 45 minutes from 7:15 PM to 8:00 PM, they illuminate the night sky over Suruga Bay. The view from the high point overlooking Suruga Bay offers exceptional openness, and the grand bursts of fireworks against the sea backdrop are of incomparable power and beauty. A feast of light blooming above the night view of Shimizu Port is truly a spectacular scene unique to Nihondaira. After the show ends, the descent path from Nihondaira and surrounding roads become extremely congested. Enjoying the lingering atmosphere in the garden for a while after the fireworks, then heading home when things settle down is safer. Always plan your return bus or car schedule and check congestion information in advance. The ground becomes dark, so a smartphone flashlight or small flashlight is convenient.
