Shironokoshi Pier (城之腰埠頭) at Yaizu Port's New Harbor is the main viewing area for the Yaizu Sea Fireworks Festival. Secure your spot early in the evening and wait for the show to start while enjoying the dinner you brought with you. Fishing boats come and go across the harbor, and as the sun sinks, the sky and sea turning shades of orange make for a special moment before the fireworks begin. Since the coast cools sharply after sunset in October, be sure to have your warm clothing on by this point. Food stalls may be set up, but given the expected crowds, it's safer to prepare your meal in advance.

Tips

Traffic restrictions may be in effect around the venue from the evening of the fireworks. Plan to use public transportation, or arrive by car early, before the restrictions begin. The temporary restrooms at the venue tend to get crowded, so we strongly recommend going before you settle in. Warm clothing and a blanket are essential.

About 2 hours. The harbor scenery around sunset is beautiful, and anticipation for the fireworks builds during this time
