About this spot

A swimming beach facing an inlet in Shima City (志摩市), open in 2026 from Saturday, July 18 to Wednesday, August 19. A welcome point is that swimming, restrooms and showers are all free to use. In addition to changing rooms, rest areas and lockers, there are stroller rentals, a nursing room and even a ramp, so families with small children can spend the whole day with peace of mind. There is a beach house on the sand as well, so with meals and breaks in between you can fully enjoy playing in the waves and the sand until evening. Surrounded by the calm waves and lush greenery typical of the Shima Peninsula (志摩半島), it is a quiet and comfortable beach.

Tips

With changing rooms, lockers and a nursing room all provided, there is little to worry about with changing clothes or luggage, making it an easy beach even with a baby. Strollers are available to rent and there is a ramp, so moving down to the sand is smooth as well. Summer sand is hot, so do not forget beach sandals. Prepare some small change for food and breaks at the beach house.

Best time to visit

From just after 2 p.m. the sunlight softens a little, making it the time slot to enjoy plenty of sea play until evening
