Next stop: Stroll a Mediterranean-style townscape and take a lunch breakAbout this spot
This small lighthouse stands on a cape at the southwestern tip of the Shima Peninsula, reachable on foot from the village of Goza. From around the lighthouse, you get a sweeping view of the Pacific Ocean, making it an excellent spot to take in the full expanse of the sea you'll be swimming in later. Another appeal is that you can take your time here without worrying about crowds, making it a perfect place for a family stroll in the sea breeze and crisp morning air. The ground around the lighthouse is uneven in places, so it's reassuring to hold small children's hands while walking. Enjoy the scenery while getting your body moving as a warm-up before your swim.
Tips
Within walking distance of the village of Goza. There's little shade here, so don't forget a hat and something to drink. Comfortable, easy-to-walk-in shoes are recommended.
Best time to visit
