View and Shop for Otaru's Famous Glassware Craftsmanship

Just a few minutes' walk from Otaru Canal, this hall is housed in a Meiji-era stone warehouse and features colorful glassware products including lamps, glasses, and accessories. Otaru is known as the city of glassware craftsmanship, with many photogenic spots throughout the hall that appeal to both children and adults. The "Lamp Hall" with 167 illuminated oil lamps is particularly popular, and simply walking through the shop imparts the characteristic charm of Otaru. It's also a nice spot to cool off indoors before heading to the beach.

小樽市内の海水浴場のひとつで、2026年は7月11日(土)から8月16日(日)まで開設されます。砂浜と岩場が入り交じった海岸で、透明度の高い北海道の海を間近に感じられるのが魅力です。遊泳は無料で、仮設トイレも設置されるため、日帰りの家族連れでも過ごしやすい環境が整っています。岩場では磯遊びも楽しめ、砂浜での水遊びと合わせて夏休みの1日をたっぷり満喫できます。水族館からのアクセスも良く、この日のコースの締めくくりにふさわしいクライマックスです。
Tips
駐車場は有料なので、事前に料金を確認しておくと安心です。岩場があるためビーチサンダルなど足元を保護できる履物があると安全です。仮設トイレはありますが更衣室が限られる場合があるので、水着は事前に着用しておくとスムーズです。
Tips
The hall is spacious with many fragile items, so watch small children carefully. Since glassware comes with damage-resistant packaging for transport, traveling by car after purchase is recommended.

Takes approximately 45 minutes. The morning is relatively uncrowded, allowing for a leisurely browse.
