About this spot

This roadside station stands along National Route 229, just next to Genwadai Coastal Park. Its shop carries souvenirs such as Otobe Town's specialty Kurosenkoku black soybeans and Yuri Monaka (a wafer sweet using yuri-ne lily bulbs). Behind the building is an observation deck 40 meters above sea level overlooking the Sea of Japan, offering a magnificent ocean view on clear days. With a rest area and restrooms, it's a convenient stop before playing at the sea pool. Make it your starting point for a family drive.

Tips

Opening hours are 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. from April through October, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from November through March (closed December 30 to January 3). Genwadai Coastal Park is just a short drive away.
