Located at the foot of Takasaki Mountain, Oita Marine Palace Aquarium "Umitamago" is a family-friendly aquarium featuring sea creatures from Bungo Channel. Dolphin and sea lion performance shows are hugely popular with children, and a touch pool allows direct contact with creatures. The air-conditioned interior offers pleasant refuge from summer heat. Learning about the sea creatures you'll encounter before swimming makes the afternoon beach experience even more enjoyable.

大分市神崎にあるこうざき海水浴場は、2026年は7月1日(水)から8月31日(月)まで24時間利用でき、遊泳はいつでも無料です。シャワーと更衣室も無料で使えるほか、スロープや多目的トイレなどバリアフリー設備が整っているので、小さな子ども連れやベビーカーでも安心して過ごせます。土日には売店が9時から17時まで営業しており、飲み物や軽食をその場で買い足せます。敷地内にはバーベキュー場やログハウス、キャンプ場も併設されているので、海水浴のあとにそのまま夕方まで大分の夏を満喫できます。
Tips
駐車場は5〜9月が500円、10〜4月は200円です。シャワー・更衣室は無料なので、着替えとタオルを用意しておけば身軽に楽しめます。夏の砂浜は熱くなるのでビーチサンダルがあると安心です。売店は土日のみの営業なので、平日利用の場合は飲み物を持参しましょう。
Tips
A few minutes' walk from Takasaki Mountain Nature Zoo in an adjacent area. Check dolphin show times in advance to plan your schedule effectively. The interior has few level changes and is easy to navigate with a stroller.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour required. Mid-morning is relatively uncrowded, making shows easier to view.
