Next stop: Enjoy Swimming at Kaizuka's Gently Sloping Sandy Beach Until EveningAbout this spot
A free natural history museum in one corner of Nishiki-no-Hama Park, primarily featuring marine life of Osaka Bay and tidal flat ecosystems. The appeal lies in being able to observe marine creatures such as fish and shellfish swimming in small aquariums up close—creatures that live near you—and naturally heightens your interest in Nishiki-no-Hama where you're about to swim. The interior is compact in scale, making it enjoyable for small children without overwhelming them. It's the perfect spot to stop by as a preview before entering the sea.
Tips
Located within Nishiki-no-Hama Park and within walking distance to Nishiki-no-Hama Beach. Free admission allows you to drop by casually. It's recommended to check in advance as there are days when the museum is closed.
Best time to visit
Approximately 45 minutes required. Stopping by right before the beach swim makes the day's flow smooth.
