About this spot

This is an outdoor leisure pool in Kami Town, Miyagi Prefecture, open in 2026 from Wednesday, July 1 to Monday, August 31. The outdoor pool is open from 11am to 3pm, and the whole family can enjoy plenty of water play, whether leisurely drifting along the roughly 50-meter lazy river or speeding down the water slide. There's also an indoor heated pool, giving you a reassuring place to rest on days with unstable weather or if you get chilly. Set at the foot of Mt. Yakurai (薬莱山), the highland location offers an open feel and cool air you won't find at a pool in the city. During summer vacation season, it's a popular local spot bustling with families.

Tips

The fee is a one-day pass of 2,300 yen for adults (junior high school age and up) and 1,200 yen for children (age 3 and up), a summer-season rate shared with the pool and hot spring. The outdoor pool closes at 3pm, so if you want more time, it's also a good idea to switch to the hot spring or other facilities within the overall opening hours (9am to 8pm). There are closed days even during the summer season (in 2026: the second Monday and Tuesday of July, and the fourth Monday and Tuesday of August). Check the operating days before heading out. On weekends when crowds are expected, it's reassuring to arrive early.

Best time to visit

Entering at noon lets you secure a spot before the afternoon peak, giving you a solid 3 hours to play until closing at 3pm.
