About this spot

A small freshwater fish aquarium called Medaka Land (めだかランド) inside Idenoyama Park (出の山公園). It is a community-rooted facility where you can observe up close the medaka nurtured by abundant spring water and the fish living in local rivers. The interior is compact, so even small children can go around once without getting bored, and the scale is just right as a light rest stop before the pool. It also becomes a chance for parents and children to talk about the local water environment.

Tips

A viewing time of about 30 to 40 minutes is a good guide. You can stay in the shade indoors, so it also suits a stop to cool off during the hottest hours. Checking the opening hours and closing days via official information before visiting is reassuring.
