Amaharashi and Matsudae-hama Beach (雨晴・松太枝浜海水浴場), spreading across Takaoka City (高岡市), is open in 2026 from Sunday, July 5 to Sunday, August 16. Its appeal is the beauty of the scenery, where you can see the Tateyama mountain range (立山連峰) across the sea, making it one of the popular swimming spots even within Toyama Prefecture (富山県). Free parking for 150 cars is provided, so there is no hunting for a space even when arriving by car. The adjacent campground has cooking facilities, restrooms and cold-water showers, and being able to freshen up easily after a swim is another welcome point. From playing at the water's edge to playing in the sand, enjoy the summer sea of Toyama at length until evening.

It is about 15 minutes by car from Himi Banya-gai (ひみ番屋街). There is free parking for 150 cars, but summer weekends can get crowded, so arriving early is reassuring. The showers are cold water only, so preparing plenty of towels for changing makes for a more comfortable stay. On days when the Tateyama range (立山連峰) is visible across the sea, it is a prime photo opportunity.
