About this spot

A swimming beach on Kasado Island (笠戸島) in Kudamatsu City (下松市), open in 2026 from Friday, July 17 to Sunday, August 16, from 9:00 to 17:00. An artificial swimming area, a waterside green park and a seaside promenade are developed, and shark protection nets are installed during the season, with thoughtful touches so that families can spend the day with peace of mind. Swimming is free, and a coin shower (100 yen) is also available. There is free parking for about 70 cars, making it easy to visit by car. Amid the calm waves typical of the Seto Inland Sea (瀬戸内海), you can enjoy everything from playing at the water's edge to playing in the sand to the fullest until evening.

Tips

Parking is limited to about 70 spaces, so on crowded weekends arriving early is reassuring. Swimming hours end at 17:00, so allow time to change and shower and wrap up around 16:45. Having 100-yen coins ready for the coin shower is handy.

Best time to visit

From just after 1 p.m. it is the time slot for plenty of swimming amid the calm waves of the Seto Inland Sea (瀬戸内海).
