Morioka City Zoo ZOOMO (盛岡市動物公園ZOOMO), which relocated to Morioka's Tonan district in 2023, is a family-friendly zoo where you can see a diverse range of animals including giraffes, red pandas, and raptors up close. The grounds feature gentle terrain and easy-to-navigate paths, making it comfortable to stroll with a stroller. Exhibits showcase animals in ways that closely resemble their natural habitats, and the cool morning hours offer the most active animal behavior for enjoyable observation. Its proximity to Tonan Central Park Pool makes it a convenient first stop of the day. During summer vacation season, the zoo is busy with families, so arriving just after opening is recommended.

2026年は7月18日(土)から8月23日(日)までの営業となる、盛岡市都南地区の屋外レジャープールです。35m×25mのメインプールでは泳ぎや水遊びをたっぷり楽しめ、隣接する幼児用プールは小さな子どもでも安心して遊べる浅さが魅力です。料金は一般450円・高校生300円・中学生以下150円と手頃で、家族全員で訪れやすいのもうれしいポイント。障害者手帳を提示すると本人と介護者1名は無料になる制度もあります。営業時間は10:00〜17:00で、お昼から入場すればクライマックスの水遊びを夕方までゆっくり満喫できます。地元の子どもたちにも親しまれている、盛岡市南部エリアの夏の定番スポットです。

Tips

団体利用や貸切には別料金が設定されているため、通常利用の場合は当日窓口で一般料金を確認してください。プールサイドの日陰は限られるので、パラソルやレジャーシートがあると快適です。営業終了は17:00のため、着替えや後片付けの時間を見込んで16:30頃には水遊びを切り上げるのがおすすめです。障害者手帳の割引を利用する場合は入場時に窓口で提示してください。

Tips

Multiple parking areas are available, but weekend parking fills quickly during summer holidays—arriving at opening time is advisable. While the zoo has shops and vending machines, it's more convenient to plan lunch at Aeon Mall Morioka South, which you'll visit next. Stroller and wheelchair rentals are also available.
