About this spot

This highland resort spreads through the mountains of Makino-cho, a nature-rich area that bustles as a ski resort in winter and opens up as a campground and walking trail area in summer. The wide-open lawns and mountain views offer a cool atmosphere quite different from the lakeside. It's a great stop to get a little exercise or take in the highland air before your swim.

About a 10-minute drive from Metasequoia Namiki. In summer, operating hours and services at various facilities here can vary, so it's best to focus your visit around walking and scenic viewpoints. The sun is strong, so don't forget a hat.
