Medieval castle ruins remaining on the elevated area of Tanasoko, Kuratake Town, where Ebisu Beach is located. Located in a scenic spot overlooking Amakusa's cove, it's said to have been a strategic lookout point to observe the sea in those days. Today it's maintained as a green square, where you can take a leisurely walk and enjoy Amakusa's characteristic calm sea scenery, a spot cherished by locals. It's also just right for moving your body a bit before swimming. Together with your children, enjoy viewing the sea where you'll swim from the elevated spot.

熊本県天草市倉岳町宮田にある海水浴場で、2026年は6月28日(日)から8月31日(月)まで開設されます。天草の入り江に面した穏やかな海が特徴で、波が高くなりにくく小さな子ども連れでも遊びやすいのがうれしいところです。船をかたどった管理棟には更衣室・シャワー・トイレが完備されており、着替えや水遊び後のひと休みも快適。遊泳は無料で楽しめます。駐車場は150台分あり無料で利用できるため、車でのおでかけにも便利です。波打ち際での水遊びから砂遊びまで、夕方まで天草の海をたっぷり満喫しましょう。

Tips

駐車場は150台分あり無料。船形の管理棟に更衣室・シャワー・トイレがそろっているので、着替えの荷物は最小限で大丈夫です。遊泳は無料ですが、日差しを避けるパラソルやテントは持参がおすすめ。砂浜が熱くなる時間帯もあるのでビーチサンダルがあると安心です。

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from Ebisu Beach. Some areas have grass or dirt ground, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. There are few shaded areas to block the sun, so prepare a hat and water.
