This nationally designated scenic spot and natural monument is one of Amakusa's most iconic landscapes. The jagged rock formations carved by rough waves create an impressive coastline, and the observation deck overlooks the East China Sea. After viewing, head to a local eatery in the Oe area for lunch, then proceed refreshed to the afternoon beach.

天草市天草町高浜北にある、真っ白な砂浜が美しい海水浴場です。2026年は6月28日(日)から8月30日(日)まで開設され、遊泳は無料。緑の岬に抱かれた穏やかな入江で、波も比較的おだやかなため、小さな子ども連れでも安心して楽しめます。ビーチには監視員が配置されており、家族での海水浴に心強い環境が整っています。更衣室・シャワー・トイレも完備し、無料の駐車場が50台分用意されているので、車での来場もスムーズです。白砂の輝くビーチで、夕方まで思いきり海遊びを満喫しましょう。
Tips
遊泳は無料ですが、シャワーの利用は有料です。夏の砂浜は熱くなるのでビーチサンダルを持参しましょう。駐車場は無料で50台分ありますが、夏休みの週末は早めの到着がおすすめです。着替えの時間も見込んで、切り上げる時間には余裕を持たせましょう。
Tips
Viewing is centered around the observation area with paved walkways—comfortable shoes are sufficient. Summer sun is strong, so wear a hat and sunscreen. Have lunch early at an Oe-area restaurant to leave ample time for the afternoon beach.
Best time to visit
About 45 minutes. The time just before noon offers relatively peaceful viewing.
