Enjoy beach play on emerald-green waters and white sand until evening
About this spot
Takahama Beach in Mii-raku Town, Goto City, Nagasaki Prefecture, opens July 18 (Saturday) through August 23 (Sunday), 2026, with lifeguard supervision from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Known as one of the Goto Islands' most stunning beaches with its emerald-green waters and pristine white sand, the shallow shoreline is perfect for water play with small children. A shop and shower facilities are available; renting a beach shed (300–500 yen) provides comfortable shelter from the sun. The highly transparent water allows for snorkeling-like water play, and sand play stretches across the beach—enjoy a Goto summer to the fullest until evening.
