Located between Keihan Uji Station and JR Uji Station, at the base of Uji Bridge, this street extends toward the Byodo-in approach and serves as the gateway to Uji tourism. Long-established tea shops line the street, offering an abundance of matcha-flavored treats—soft serve ice cream, tea dumplings, matcha parfaits—perfect for eating while you walk. Shops along the street also sell direct-from-producer tea and souvenirs, creating an atmosphere filled with the aroma of tea that typifies Uji. On the night of the fireworks, the area will be crowded, so we recommend enjoying the scent and taste of tea leisurely during this time.

2026年7月20日(月)開催、陸上自衛隊宇治駐屯地の夏祭りを締めくくる打ち上げ花火です。19時50分から21時まで、基地の夜空に次々と花火が打ち上がります。地域の夏祭りならではのアットホームな雰囲気の中で見上げる花火は、大きな会場とはまたひと味違う魅力があります。1日の締めくくりにふさわしい、家族の夏の思い出になるひとときです。

荒天時は中止または内容が変更となる場合があるため、当日の開催可否は事前に確認しましょう。終了後は周辺道路が大変混雑するため、余韻を楽しんでから時間差での帰宅がおすすめです。足元が暗いので、小さな懐中電灯があると安心です。
