Toguchi Beach (渡具知ビーチ)

Flow of the course

About this spot

A beach spread along the west coast of Yomitan Village, beloved by locals. With shallow waters and white sand, it's known as a hidden gem where you can watch the sunset sink into the East China Sea in the evening. The beach also holds historical significance as a landing site for US forces during the Battle of Okinawa in World War II; spending time listening to the waves here becomes something special. Bring takeout food and spend time gazing at the inclining sun over the sea while waiting for the fireworks.

Tips

About 5 minutes by car from Murasakimura. Few shops are available, so it's best to purchase drinks and snacks beforehand. Facilities like showers and restrooms are basic, so parents with young children should bring a change of clothes.

Best time to visit

Allow approximately 2 hours 15 minutes. The period around sunset is especially recommended.
