During the Tanabata Festival, the shopping street in front of Ogawa-machi Station (小川町駅) is decorated with colorful Tanabata ornaments. Decorations made by local shops and residents fill the street, letting you soak up the festival atmosphere just by walking through. Fitting for a town known for washi paper, some of the decorations are made using washi, a charm unique to this town.
