Izumi-Chuo, the terminus of the Nanboku subway line, is the central shopping district of Izumi Ward, Sendai City. Large shopping malls and specialty stores are concentrated here, making it a convenient area for shopping and taking a break. You can escape the heat in the air-conditioned buildings, using the time as a rest stop before heading toward the evening. It is a good idea to pick up anything you need here before heading to Chomeigaoka.
Tips
Just steps from Izumi-Chuo Station (泉中央駅) on the Nanboku subway line. Bus is a convenient way to travel to Chomeigaoka. The area can get crowded with shoppers in the evening.
