This is a municipal riverside park that spreads along the banks of the Sanhasama River (三迫川), from Sawabe-sotobukuro in Kannari, Kurihara City, through Sawabe-tateshita to Sawabe-kanbayashi. The Sanhasama River flows east through Kurihara City from its source at Mount Kurikoma and joins the Hasama River (迫川); along the riverbed you can relax while feeling the river breeze. Since it is a bit of a distance to tonight's fireworks venue in Sanuma, it is a good idea to pick up dinner at nearby shops or convenience stores and rest on the riverbank before heading over.
Tips
Accessible on foot from the Sanuma Bus Terminal (佐沼バスターミナル). Roads in the area get crowded from evening onward, so using public transportation is recommended. Pick up food and drinks early.
Best time to visit
About 2 hours 30 minutes. Around sunset, more people head toward the festival.
