The riverbank along the upper reaches of the Asahi River (旭川), one of Okayama Prefecture's representative rivers. It's characterized by a clear current surrounded by mountains, where a cool river breeze feels pleasant even in summer. It's the perfect place to rest after a bit of walking around the rice terraces, and a spot where families can relax together.
Tips
Travel by car from the Ohaga-nishi Rice Terraces. Some spots along the riverbank have unstable footing, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
