A fireworks display held Saturday, July 25, 2026, closing out summer in the Yanahara district of Misaki-cho, a town that once thrived as a mining community. Starting at 8:30 PM, fireworks light up the night sky over the parking lot of Yanahara General Cultural Center. Because this satoyama venue has few tall buildings nearby, the fireworks' light appears to spread out especially wide, which is part of the appeal. It's a fitting close to a day spent enjoying mining history and spectacular rice terrace views.
