View the reconstructed pit dwellings up close
About this spot
In the outdoor area of the Oshorino Site, reconstructed pit dwellings recreate a Jomon-period settlement. You can see the architectural ingenuity of the era up close, such as dwellings with earth-covered roofs, and experience the scale of actual Jomon life. The spacious grounds allow for a leisurely, family-friendly stroll. In summer, the scenery is surrounded by refreshing greenery.

2026年7月26日(日)開催、世界遺産・御所野遺跡で行われる感謝祭の花火です。縄文の森を背景に、19時30分から花火が次々と夜空に開きます。打ち上げ数の公式発表はありませんが、遺跡への感謝を込めた行事らしい、しっとりとした雰囲気の中で楽しめる花火です。昼間に見学した竪穴住居や森の記憶と重なり、古代から現代へと続く土地の物語を感じられる特別な夜になります。
Tips
荒天時は中止の可能性があるため、当日の開催可否は主催者の発表で確認しましょう。夜は足元が暗いので、スマホのライトなどで安全に。終了後は駐車場までの道が混み合うため、少し余韻を楽しんでからの帰宅がおすすめです。
Tips
Just a short walk from the Oshorino Jomon Museum. Some outdoor areas have little shade, so bring a hat. Next, move to the Jomon Forest within the grounds.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour. Afternoon hours when the sun is less intense are recommended.
