About this spot
This is a nationally designated historic site known for the discovery of 39 bronze bells (dotaku), the largest number found together in Japan. The discovery site has been developed on a hillside, and the information facility lets visitors learn about the excavation and the ancient stories associated with the bronze bells. There are no flashy buildings, but in the quiet atmosphere of the lush valley, you can reflect on the history of ancient Izumo. Recommended for families who enjoy history.
Tips
About 10 minutes by car from the fireworks venue. Since the visit is mainly outdoors, comfortable walking shoes are recommended. It's about 10 minutes by car to the next stop, Kamo Chuo Park.

About 1 hour. Afternoon, when the sunlight softens, is recommended.
