About this spot

This is the hub of resident-led community governance for the Oguni district of Sera-cho, relocated in Heisei 30 (2018) to sit between the Seranishi branch office of Sera Town Hall and Seranishi Town Center. Operated by the designated manager, the Oguni District Promotion Council, it aims to be a facility where multiple generations can gather, offering a salon, a childcare space, and fitness activities, as well as planning and running local events and watch-over activities. Tonight's fireworks are also held in this area. As is typical of the highlands, the air turns cool from evening, and the rural scenery is dyed by the sunset. Since the surrounding area is a peaceful zone of homes and farmland, it's reassuring to prepare food and drinks in advance.

Tips

There are few restaurants around the venue, so it's recommended to stock up on food at places like Michi-no-Eki Sera beforehand. Insects increase at night, so bring insect repellent spray. Secure your viewing spot while it's still light out.
