About this spot

Once called the most difficult pass on the Hokuriku Road connecting Echigo and Etchu, known by the name "Oyashirazu Koashirazu." The majestic scenery of towering cliffs approaching the Sea of Japan attracts many visitors today. From the observation spot, the contrast between rugged cliffs and blue sea is spectacular, allowing you to feel the scale of Itoigawa's nature. A recommended place to rest while viewing the atmosphere of this historic difficult pass.

断崖と海に囲まれた糸魚川の夏を彩る花火大会です。会場の青海シーサイドパークには約800発の花火が打ち上がり、日本海の上空を大きく彩ります。開けた海辺のロケーションのため、花火が視界いっぱいに広がるのが魅力です。昼間に訪れたヒスイ海岸や親不知の断崖を思い出しながら、糸魚川の海と夜空が織りなす特別なひとときを楽しみましょう。

Tips

荒天時は中止となる場合があるため、当日の開催可否は糸魚川市の公式発表で確認しましょう。終了後は周辺道路が混み合うため、少し時間をずらして帰るのがおすすめです。海沿いは足元が暗くなるので、懐中電灯があると安心です。

Tips

Be careful on the cliff-side road as there are sections requiring attention. Observation spots have good access from parking, suitable for short stops. Sea winds can be strong, so watch that hats don't blow away.
