This is a fruit-growing village spreading across the foot of Mt. Taihei, nationally known for grape picking. Grape trellises line the mountain slopes, and by the height of summer, early-ripening varieties reach their peak. At the direct-sale stands, you can also buy freshly picked grapes and processed products like juice, making it a perfect spot for families to enjoy at a relaxed pace. Before the fireworks display, lift your mood with a taste of Ohira's bounty at midday.

Tips

About a 5-minute drive from the venue, Ohira Sports Park. Which grape varieties are ready to eat changes depending on growth conditions, so check with each farm for information on the time of your visit. The sunlight is strong, so do not forget a hat and drinks.
