A giant gajumaru tree standing in the center of Nago city, said to be 300 years old. Cherished as a protective charm for the region, this symbol of Nago presents an overwhelming presence with its thick branches spreading in four directions. Shopping streets surround the tree, allowing you to leisurely explore while soaking in the local atmosphere. Before the summer festival, be sure to appreciate this tree that represents Nago's face.
Tips
About 10 minutes by car from Nago Castle Park. The area around the tree has well-maintained sidewalks and is an easy spot for photography. Dining establishments are scattered throughout the shopping street, so stopping by for a break is also recommended.
Best time to visit
Takes approximately 1 hour. During daylight hours, the tree's branch structure is clearly visible.
