A park representative of Akita City, built on the site of Kubota Castle, the seat of the Satake clan daimyo of Akita Domain. The moat, stone walls, and the reconstructed Osumiturret remain, allowing for leisurely strolls through the lush park. In summer, shaded areas are pleasant, making it perfect for families to spend relaxed time. It is also conveniently close to Akita Station and serves as a starting point for sightseeing in the city.

Tips
荒天時は中止または内容変更の可能性があるため、当日の開催可否は事前に確認しましょう。終了後は住宅街の道が混み合うため、少し余韻を楽しんでから帰路につくのがおすすめです。足元が暗いので懐中電灯があると安心です。
Tips
About 15 minutes on foot from the west exit of Akita Station. The park has uneven terrain, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. The Osumiturret is open for paid entry, and the observation floor offers panoramic views of the city.
Best time to visit
Takes about 1 hour 30 minutes. With plenty of shade, it remains relatively comfortable even on summer days.
