An observation tower cherished as a symbol of Akita Port. From the observation floor at approximately 100 meters above ground, an open vista unfolds from the horizon of the Sea of Japan to Akita City streets and, in the distance, the Oga Peninsula. On the first floor, there is a shop specializing in Akita's special products, making it convenient to stop by as a memento of your trip. Observing the port where tonight's fireworks will light up from above during the day will deepen your evening enjoyment.

Tips

About 20 minutes by bus from Akita Station. The admission fee for the observation floor is approximately 400 yen for adults. On clear days, you can see distant mountain ranges, so binoculars make the experience even more enjoyable.

Best time to visit

Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. Early afternoon is relatively uncrowded and allows for leisurely sightseeing.
