A historic hot spring town located south of Lake Towada, featuring charming streets with steam rising from various spots. The old-fashioned atmosphere of the hot spring town remains, with shared bathhouses and shooting galleries, and simply walking slowly through the area evokes a sense of travel. On the festival day, the entire hot spring town comes alive with a harmonious blend of local residents and tourists.

2026年7月26日(日)開催、大湯温泉の夏を彩る鹿角花火大会です。20時30分から、道の駅おおゆ周辺の夜空に花火が打ち上がります。山あいの温泉地ならではの静けさの中に響く花火の音と、湯けむり漂う町並みの組み合わせは、この地ならではの情緒あふれる光景です。1日を通して縄文遺跡や温泉を楽しんだ後の締めくくりにふさわしい花火です。

荒天時は中止または内容変更の可能性があるため、当日の開催可否は事前に確認しましょう。終了後は温泉街周辺の道が混み合うため、少し余韻を楽しんでから帰路につくのがおすすめです。

Within walking distance from Michi-no-Eki Ooyu. If you visit a shared bathhouse, bring a towel with you. As evening approaches, the streets begin to buzz with festival preparations.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour 45 minutes. The time just before evening when the steam is most beautiful is recommended.
