Approximately 3,000 fireworks burst above the sea from 8:25 PM to 9 PM, illuminating the silhouettes of the odd rocks and islands you saw earlier in the day. Watching fireworks against the beautiful backdrop of "Matsushima of Izu" offers a special sense of scale unique to West Izu. This signature summer fire festival of West Izu is a fitting finale to a day spent exploring sea caves and scenic wonders.
