A museum introducing ancient life and archaeological finds of the Tango Peninsula, with dinosaur monuments in the outdoor area that are popular with children. Inside, exhibits teach the story of Tango during the Kofun period in an easy-to-understand way. 網野祭のクライマックス、八丁浜海水浴場から打ち上がる花火大会です。2026年7月30日(木)、日本海の夜空に約2,000発の花火が次々と開きます。海水浴場の広い砂浜からは花火をさえぎるものがなく、波音とともに間近で見上げる迫力が魅力です。地元の夏祭りとして長く親しまれてきた行事で、屋台のにぎわいも夜を盛り上げます。丹後半島の海を1日楽しんだ締めくくりにふさわしい、夏の夜のクライマックスです。

Tips

荒天時は中止・延期になる場合があるため、当日は京丹後市の公式発表で開催可否を確認しましょう。終了後は会場周辺の道路が混み合うため、時間差での帰宅がおすすめです。足元が暗いので懐中電灯やスマホのライトがあると安心です。

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from central Amino. Parking is free. During summer vacation, many families visit for science projects, so early hours tend to offer more comfortable viewing.
