About this spot

A beach known for its beautiful sunset as its name suggests, with a gentle sandy shore. The sunset sinking into the Sea of Japan is counted among the finest views of the Tango Peninsula and is popular with locals as an evening cool-down spot. Spread your takeout dinner on the beach and slowly enjoy the changing colors of the sky as the sun tilts toward the horizon. A fitting time for a pre-fireworks meal and as the conclusion of a day savoring Tango's sea.

Tips

About 5 minutes by car from Michi no Eki Tenki Tenki Tango. After evening falls, surrounding roads get congested with cars heading to the fireworks festival, so early departure is recommended. Prepare your food and drinks in advance.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 30 minutes required. The changing sky colors before and after sunset are the main attractions.
