The fireworks festival that concludes Kinosaki Onsen's summer. Fireworks launch into the night sky above the hot spring town centered along the willow-lined Otani River. Despite lasting only about 5 minutes, the lights from wooden inns, lanterns, and fireworks intertwine, creating a scene full of charm unique to Kinosaki. Many visitors enjoy the fireworks in yukata attire between rounds of public bathhouse visits, and the entire hot spring town is enveloped in a summer festival atmosphere on this special night.

Due to bad weather, the event may be canceled or postponed, so check the official announcements from Toyooka City or the hot spring town on the day. Viewing locations are distributed along various points on the Otani River embankment, so securing a favorite spot early is reassuring. After the event, the hot spring town becomes crowded; staggered movement while continuing public bathhouse visits is also recommended.
