About this spot
A scenic spot representative of Kamikawa Town where miscanthus grass spreads across a highland at approximately 800 meters elevation. While known as a golden miscanthus grassland in autumn, summer features lush green meadows with pleasant cool breezes, making it a popular leisurely hiking course. Walking trails and boardwalks are well-maintained, allowing families to stroll leisurely while enjoying a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. As evening approaches, the air becomes clearer and the silhouettes of distant mountains gradually change color, offering beautiful sightseeing. It's a perfect place to spread a picnic or light snacks to refuel before the fireworks at the summer festival.

2026年8月1日(土)開催、神崎郡神河町の神崎小学校グラウンドを会場に行われる、地域に根ざした夏まつりです。約1,000発の花火が20時35分から21時までの短い時間に次々と打ち上がり、山あいの静かな里山の夜空を彩ります。会場は小学校のグラウンドを利用しているため、比較的近い距離で花火を見上げられるのが魅力です。まつり会場には出店も並び、夏休みらしいにぎやかな雰囲気の中で花火を待つことができます。周囲を山に囲まれた立地のため、花火の音が反響して迫力ある響きになるのも特徴です。
Tips
駐車場は台数に限りがあるため、早めの到着がおすすめです。荒天時は中止となる場合があるため、当日の開催可否は神河町の公式発表で確認しましょう。終了後は周辺道路が混み合うため、帰り道は時間に余裕を持って。
Tips
Approximately 15 minutes by car from the Lotus Garden. The highland has little shelter from sunlight, so a hat or parasol is recommended. Insects increase toward evening, so insect repellent spray is useful.
Best time to visit
Approximately 2 hours. The air becomes clearer toward evening, creating a cool and comfortable time to spend.
