About this spot

This roadside station (michi-no-eki) in Nakatonbetsu is a rest stop with a direct-sales shop for local produce and specialty goods, plus a small eatery. Located with a view of Mt. Pinneshiri (ピンネシリ岳), the town's symbolic mountain, it's a favorite break spot for locals in the middle of a drive. At the shop, you can find regional specialties such as dairy products and wild mountain vegetables. Stop by here first to get a feel for the town before continuing your trip.

Tips

Located along National Route 275, it's best reached by car. Opening hours may vary by season, so it's a good idea to check in advance. It's also a convenient stop for a restroom break.
