About this spot

A roadside station in Onneyu Onsen, Kitami. It is characterized by an accompanying aquarium themed around river creatures. Although small, it's an impressive aquarium that shows the rivers of the four seasons through unique exhibits, such as a freezing aquarium and a waterfall pool recreation. There is also a dining place and a shop typical of roadside stations, allowing you to enjoy lunch and sightseeing at once. It's a perfect spot to start the day of the Onneyu Onsen Festival.

2026年8月2日(日)開催、前夜祭の8月1日から続く「おんねゆ温泉まつり」を締めくくる花火大会です。会場の無加川河畔は温泉街のすぐそばにあり、約1,000発の花火が川面を照らしながら夜空に打ち上がります。短い時間の中に凝縮された花火は、温泉街の灯りと相まって情緒たっぷりの光景を生み出します。地域に根づいたアットホームな雰囲気のまつりです。

Tips

20時から20分間という短い開催時間なので、開始前に余裕を持って場所を確保しておきましょう。荒天時は中止の可能性があるため、当日は北見市の公式発表で確認を。終了後は温泉街の道が混み合うため、慌てず歩いての移動がおすすめです。

Tips

Within walking distance from the center of Onneyu Onsen. It may be crowded during the summer vacation period, so arriving in the morning or having an early lunch is recommended. Since the aquarium is indoors, it's also suitable for resting during hot times.
