About this spot

This hot spring inn adjoins Higashikagura Town's (東神楽町) forest park and also accepts day-trip bathers under commission from Higashikagura Town. Its signature open-air bath offers a view of the Taisetsu Mountain Range (大雪山連峰), and the large indoor bath also includes a carbonated spring bath. There is also a restaurant for day-trip visitors, making it a good spot for lunch at the start of your trip. Loosen up your body and fill up here before heading out to play in the forest in the afternoon.

Tips

Adjoins Higashikagura Forest Park (ひがしかぐら森林公園). Around the Obon holiday period it gets crowded with tourists, so an early lunchtime visit is recommended. It's reassuring to check the business hours for day-trip bathing and the restaurant in advance.
