This is the gateway to Kucchan Town on the JR Hakodate Main Line, with buses departing to the Niseko area. From the plaza in front of the station, you can see the majestic Yotei Mountain, also known as Ezo Fuji, up close—a perfect view to mark the start of your journey. Scattered around the area are tourist information offices and restaurants, making it a convenient starting point for your day. Feel the air of Kucchan, known as the potato town, and prepare yourself for the journey ahead.

羊蹄山のふもと、じゃがいもの町として知られる倶知安町で開催される夏祭りの花火大会です。2026年8月2日(日)19時30分から30分間、開拓とじゃがいも栽培で発展してきた町の夏を彩る花火が夜空に打ち上がります。標高が高く空気の澄んだ高原らしい夜空に映える花火は、都市部の花火とはひと味違う清々しさが魅力です。まつり本体の出店やイベントもあわせて楽しみながら、家族で夏の締めくくりを過ごしましょう。
Tips
半月湖自然公園から車で約15分。会場周辺は夜になると冷え込むことがあるため、羽織ものを用意しておくと安心です。荒天時は中止や時間変更の場合があるため、開催可否は倶知安町の公式発表で確認してください。
Tips
There are coin lockers and tourist information offices in front of the station where you can store luggage and travel light. The appearance of Yotei Mountain changes with the weather, so if it's clear, be sure to take photos.
Best time to visit
About 40 minutes. Morning to early afternoon is when the air is clearest and the mountain is most visible.
