Watch Approximately 3,000 Fireworks from the Sandy Beach

About this spot

Held on July 29, 2026 (Wednesday), this is a summer tradition of Kamogawa in the Boso region, centered at Maehara Beach. Approximately 3,000 fireworks burst into the night sky in succession, and from the shallow sandy beach, the fireworks appear large and directly in front—an appealing feature. The sound of waves and fireworks overlap, creating the immersive experience unique to seaside fireworks festivals. With memories of the aquarium and fishing port visited during the day, this is the climax concluding Kamogawa's night by the sea.

Tips

In case of bad weather, the event may be canceled or postponed, so check the organizer's announcement on the day for confirmation. After it ends, stations and parking areas become crowded, so enjoying the lingering atmosphere before heading home is recommended. The sandy beach is dark at night, so having a smartphone light is reassuring.
