Held on August 1, 2026 (Saturday), the 19th Kushimoto Festival Fireworks light up the night sky above Kumano Bay from the Kushimoto Fishing Port levee in East Muro District. Approximately 4,000 fireworks will be launched between 7:45 PM and 9:00 PM. The open location at the fishing port levee allows fireworks to beautifully reflect off the sea surface—a unique attraction. Watching the grand fireworks rise against the night sky while feeling the sea breeze is a spectacular summer finale befitting Japan's southernmost coastal town.
