About this spot

A shopping area in front of Osaka-Sayama-shi Station on the Nankai Koya Line, rooted in the daily life of local residents. Lined with restaurants, cafes, and shops selling everyday goods, it's a convenient spot for a break or some shopping between stops on your stroll. It's also a good idea to cool off inside a shop and pick up drinks or a light snack ahead of the fireworks display. Sayama-ike Park is within walking distance, so moving on in the evening is easy.

Tips

Reachable on foot from Sayama Shrine. The area gets crowded from the evening onward on the day of the fireworks display, so pick up anything you need early. Coin lockers are available in front of the station too, so leaving your bags there is one option for traveling light.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 30 minutes. It's a good time to stop by in the afternoon once the heat has eased slightly.
