An Edo-period ironworks ruins registered as a component asset of the UNESCO World Heritage "Meiji Japan's Industrial Revolution Heritage: Iron and Steel, Shipbuilding, Coal Industry." The remains of "tatara ironmaking" that supported the Hagi Domain's iron production remain in verdant foothills, and following signage allows visitors to glimpse the former industrial landscape. In the quiet mountain air, you can touch the historical depth of Susa.

萩市須佐の須佐漁港周辺を会場に開催される、須佐湾の夏を彩る花火大会です。20時から30分間、入り組んだリアス海岸の夜空に約2,000発の花火が次々と打ち上がります。周囲を山と海に囲まれた須佐湾では花火の音が心地よく響き渡り、街の花火大会とはひと味違う迫力を感じられます。1日かけて巡った須佐の自然と歴史の締めくくりとして、家族で夜空を見上げましょう。

Tips

荒天時は中止となる場合があるため、当日は主催者の発表を確認しておきましょう。終了後は狭い道が混み合うため、余韻を楽しみながら少し時間をずらしての帰宅がおすすめです。足元が暗いのでスマホのライトを用意しておくと安心です。
