Lake Sai stands out among the Fuji Five Lakes for its especially quiet atmosphere. A promenade runs along the shore, letting you take a leisurely walk while gazing at the calm surface reflecting the surrounding mountains. The scenery remains unspoiled and not overly commercialized, making it perfect for a relaxed family visit. Taking in the lake in daylight, before that night's fireworks, helps you picture where to watch from later.

Tips

About 15 minutes by car from Fugaku Wind Cave (富岳風穴). Some areas along the shore have little shade, so a hat and sunscreen are helpful in summer. It is also a good idea to check restroom locations while it is still light out.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 15 minutes needed. The lake surface is calmest and most beautiful in the time before evening
