About this spot

A roadside station located along National Route 19 (国道19号), offering locally grown vegetables and fruit from Nakatsugawa City, as well as sweets made with the area's famous chestnuts. Conveniently located for a driving break, it lets families enjoy browsing for souvenirs among the area's distinctive selection of goods. There is also a snack corner, making it a perfect spot to satisfy a small appetite and take a breather.

Tips

The parking lot is fairly spacious, but it can get crowded on weekends and holidays. The selection of chestnut-based Japanese sweets changes with the season, so look for what is in season.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour needed. Early afternoon tends to be relatively uncrowded for shopping
